Ed and Ruth of local business CastleLets were looking for a local web design company to build their new webslte. As for design, they were looking for something modern and mobile responsive as they were aware that many people are viewing sites on the move now. What resulted was a site that is easy to view and use on all devices. They were very happy.
Donna contacted us after being recommended by one of our other clients. She was looking for quite a clean & simple website and was also interested in our maintenance package where we take care of WordPress updates such as plugins, themes and the WordPress core.
Karin and Chris from Energy Lawyers, Weisenborn-Linskaill & Associates were looking for a new site layout and a site that was easy to update. We provided a site that does just that. Not only is it very straightforward to update or add new content, but it is easy to ensure the software used to keep the site safe and secure is also up to date. As well as designing and building the site, we provide the hosting for it too.
Donna is an author and former casting director of the BBC’s “The Voice”. Donna was interested in a minimalistic website to highlight her three books and to host sound tracks and video links that are referred to in her books.
Fran is an author and speaker on cerebral palsy, disability and personal development. Fran already had a blog with wordpress.com (related to but different to wordpress.org). She wanted her own site and the extra features that the .org version gave her.
Through word of mouth, Emma from Cumbria asked us to build a site for her Personal and Professional Development Coaching business. It was important that Emma could link to her social media outlets as she used these actively too. Having a blog page helped her keep her clients and other readers informed too.
Invision Windows are a family run business based in Dalkeith, Midlothian. An established double glazing company for over 20 years, they come to us to build a new website. Invision were looking for a modern looking website that was mobile friendly and easy to edit. It was important to them that they could be found on any device. Their site has built in modules which allow potential customers to design their own composite doors or double-glazed windows and these modules must work on all devices. With all our WordPress websites being mobile friendly as standard we had no problem meeting their specifications.
David was looking for a clean modern website for his Edinburgh Tree Surgery Business. He already had business colours and a logo so we used the exact same colours for his website. Nowadays it is more and more important to ensure a website is mobile optimised. Not only to give as many visitors as possible a good experience while visiting your site but search engines such as Google give credit to sites that are mobile friendly which help in their search rankings.
This is a fresh, minimalist design that gets straight to the point. Each of Christina’s four classes appear on page 1 of google if the area is included in the search. This is something that has to be considered when deciding on the phrases you want your site to rank for.
Mark was another client that had a clear design in mind from the start. He is also staring to use a blog to highlight recent work and spread his net over the world wide web.
Paul is another long time client. Paul came to us with a very specific design. He had seen another site that he liked and he wanted one similar. Although we would never copy a site directly, having an idea what the client is looking for as an end product and this is a good way of letting us know. His site is doing particularly well too. It appears on page 1 of google for many searches to do with glazing in the Edinburgh and East Lothian areas.
For Hugh, one of the biggest purposes for his website was to keep his clients up to date with what he was invloved in and being able to provide offers for them. We added a facebook feed to side of each page so when he posts on facebook the post automatically appears on his site.
Colinton Arts was established in 1981 in the village of Colinton. In 2013 Lynsey and Cath realised that a website would give them another avenue for providing professional advice and a personal service for all aspects of picture framing, cleaning and restoration. In 2019 they wanted to take their website to the next stage. They wanted to be able to update it easily by adding informative blog posts and they also wanted some SEO carried out in order to rank higher on Google searches. A year later they rank number 1 on Google for those searching for picture framers in Edinburgh. Thankfully they wanted to use a local web designer.
The guys at PSZ STONE came to us with a clear idea of the type of site they wanted. Like many of our clients they had seen a site they liked and asked us to build something similar. The original site they pointed us to was not a responsive site so we ensured that their site would was, allowing visitors on all platforms to get a good experience when visiting their site.
Although Castle Removals have been in business for more than 30 years they decided now was the time to add a new string to their bow and have a website built. Focusing on house removals, house clearances and packing services in Edinburgh and throughout the UK they already had a well-known brand image. Many will have seen their vans moving throughout Edinburgh. Using the image of their vans under Edinburgh Castle helps visitors to their site recognise the company, gaining trust with seconds of reaching the site.
With a very individual design, Robert’s website is worth a look. A feature of this site is the revolving images in his portfolio of driving test successes.
When Danny got in touch he had a very clear idea of what he was looking for. He was setting up a new business to help people claim Government benefits. He had already thought about a website and had put together a template of how he wanted the site to look. We added in a few suggestions and very quickly he had a site he was very pleased with. One feature that was a must was the ability for the text to appear in differnt languages. WordPress is a great platform to add features like this and as he expands, more languages can easily be added. As with all our websites we ensure they have a valid SSL certificate which adds the green padlock giving confidence to viewrers and also a must now for ranking well with search engines such as Google.
When Natasha first contacted us she already had a website for her business. However, she was aware that it required updating. With more and more people searching for sites using mobile devices it is becoming vital that viewers have a good experience no matter which device they use. Nowadays modern designs can be used to automatically reconfigure the content to fit the size of screen the viewer is using. However, Natasha wanted to go a step further having some features only appearing on certain sizes of screen. View this site on several different devices and you will see what we mean. Natasha also took advantage of our free SSL certificate. Although she doesn’t take any payments through her site, search engines, such as Google, are looking for site owners to take security seriously and can give a better search ranking to those who do. We plan to continue to offer free SSL certificates to all our clients who use our WordPress Platform.
Fiona’s House cleaning is another success story. Her site is visited on average over 12 times per day through google searches alone and you can see from her testimonial how happy she is with her site.
Nicholas is an Edinburgh based planning consultant. He required a site to highlight and explain the services he offers. His site makes use of the in vogue style of not having too much on the home page but linking what is there to content further within his site.
A local garage that is doing amazingly well in the search rankings. As specialists and service centres for both BMW and Mercedes they appear on page 1 of google for associated searches for the Edinburgh area.
Sheils Construction, Joinery and Maintenance are a Glasgow housing contractor. They approached us to set up a website with links to their facebook account. Recently we have redesigned this site to modernise it and to match the company’s corporate image.
